Win7 TV+Monitor setup, computer only setting defaults to TV

I have a TV hooked up to my PC (Windows 7) via HDMI. When I use the Windows key + P shortcut to switch to the "computer only" setting, my monitor's display goes dark while my desktop appears on my TV. In the screen resolution menu, my monitor is set as the default display, but the TV is set as display 1 while my monitor is set as display 2.

Is there a way to change the monitor priority? The only way for me to get my desktop to display when using the "computer only" option is to remove the HDMI, but that becomes a hassle when switching in between for different situations.
