Malwarebytes Anti-Malware NOT Responding?

I have a HP Laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium and downloaded the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software and today I tried doing a full scan and the whole program froze up and I had to bring up the task manager to close it down. It will not run at all. Am I infected?
