dllhost.exe msvcrt.dll!endthreadex+0x29

Hi I'm having a problem with dllhost.exe msvcrt.dll!endthreadex+0x29 eating up ram and cpu. Its hard to tell what starts this but i think when i goto a folder certain video thumbnail generation gets it going. I' ve moved all the videos from the folder onto an external harddrive and it starts from there now. The green loading bar at the top of the folder never finishes loading and it gives me trouble playing the videos or moving them. I havent found any solutions online so i guess i need help i really dont want to reinstall i just did a few months back.
