Spyware on hp laptop

So, before this I my girl friend of many years had put spyware on both my cell and my laptop in the past both when I was aware and when I was not. Well after a 4 year relationship we have been apart for 2 months. However, she is still extremely knowledgeable about my whereabouts, who I'm with, and conversations I've had with people over Facebook message and emails. I am 99% sure that she somehow was able to put spyware on my new laptop before our split and am wondering what my options of 1) detecting it 2) removing it or if I should buy a new computer? She had used Spectorsoft in the past but recently I caught her with mobile-spy she tried to put on my phone and iPad. (she's an obvious insecure nut job).

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. My knowledge of computers is average and not very technical.
