Internet Problems

Forgive me if this is the wrong thread, I'm new to these forums.

In any case, I'm having an issue with my wifi connection that is causing a lot of frustration.

I'm using an Acer Aspire 5750 with Windows 7 64-bit.

Basically, every few minutes my wifi connection goes down, only to reconnect a few seconds later. It happens so often that it makes it impossible to play any online games. Now, while the internet DC's on my laptop, it does not effect my xbox in the same way as my xbox willl stay connected but if I'm, say, watching netflix the screen will go blurry until it restores.

So far I've uninstalled then reinstalled my wifi drivers. I've also done a hard reset of my modem/router combo and I've unplugged it and the coaxel cable attached per my ISPs instructions. I've also flushed the DNS.

I'm honestly at a loss and I'd like to get back to my gaming but so long as my internet is unstable I can't even quest without being DC'd or my latency spiking to 6-10K. I've scoured the internet for answers with no luck.

Any suggestions would be fantastic.
