My first post here - thanks for appearing in Google!
I'm working on my mother in law's Dell Inspiron 1720, running Vista Home edition.
It was repeatedly BSOD'ing so after running some tests we agreed to factory restore. So I used the Dell utility and formatted the HDD and re-installed Vista.
Looking around the forums a Memtest86+ looked like a good idea + a cpu test. 7 passes were completed of the memtest - no errors. CPU load test (Prime95) ran successfully with no issues.
Driver verifier enabled to check all drivers except Microsoft. The following BSOD's have been recorded, generally triggered by the opening of SpeedFan. The last 4 (after verifier enabled) in BlueScreenView (sorry for the formatting) have been this:
