Tracking Cookies

AVG keeps finding tracking cookies from Yieldmanager, Server-sys, Advertising and a few others. I tried using AdwCleaner which pinpoints a prefs.js file in Firefox. It supposedly cleans it but if of course it ikeeps reappearing and I'm still getting those cookies even though the browser is set not to accept tracking or third party cookies.

I've also noticed today that I cannot access my Comcast email inbox with Firefox although there's no problem in IE. I don't get any error messages just that the browser gets stuck in the inbox preview page. I don't know if this relates to the above problem or not.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio X775 laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
