unable to connect to internet

Not sure if this is the right forum, but not much else applied.

Anyhoo, just did a clean install of win 7 to deal with bugs and now having issues connecting wired to the network or the internet. I can connect fine wireless. Never had an issue just swapping wires and going wireless to wired. I get the error that there is no IP address, and I've tried "ipconfig/release->renew"

help plz
